Congressional Democrats Disclose Latest Collection of Epstein Photos as Justice Department Time Limit Nears

The Congressional oversight panel has published a collection of roughly 70 photographs from the estate of former adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third such publication from a cache of in excess of 95,000 images the committee has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It features photographs of quotes from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted photos of female foreign passports.

This release arrives mere hours before the 19 December cut-off for the DOJ to disclose all files connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These new photos pose more queries about precisely what the Department of Justice has in its holdings," stated the senior Democrat of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Disclosed

Several of the photos released on recently depict Epstein speaking with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned alongside a female whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon positioned at a desk across from Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest affluent, prominent individuals to be pictured in Epstein's estate images released by the committee - previously released pictures also include US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photos is not proof of any wrongdoing, and a number of the featured individuals have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement released with the photograph publication, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide explanatory details or timeframes for the images.

"Images were picked to provide the public with transparency into a representative sample of the images received from the estate, and to offer perspectives into Epstein's network and his extremely troubling actions," the statement says.

The disclosure also includes multiple images of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in black ink across several locations of a female's body, including her upper body, feet, hip, and rear. Lolita tells the story of a young girl who was groomed by a older literature professor.

One excerpt from the work written across a female's torso reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photos of female identification and ID papers from nations globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the IDs, such as identities and dates of birth, is obscured but the committee indicated in a press release that the travel documents are associated with "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

An additional photograph shows Epstein positioned at a table closely surrounded by three female figures whose features have been redacted - one individual has her hand on Epstein's chest under his garment, and a second is bending to examine a nearby computer. Epstein appears to be helping the third attach a bracelet.

A further image made public is a capture of digital messages from an unnamed person who states they have been provided "some girls" and are requesting "$$1,000 per girl".

Photograph Publication Occurs Before DOJ Deadline

The committee has many thousands of images in its possession from the Epstein estate, which are "both graphic and ordinary," its announcement on recently noted.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate provided to the panel are different than what is often termed "the Epstein files". That material are records in the justice department's control associated with its independent probe into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which Donald Trump signed into law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its files. The extent of what's contained in the DOJ's records is not publicly known, and it's expected that a significant portion of the material will be extensively censored, comparable to the committee's releases
